Rehoboth Theological Institute, situated at Thrissur, Kerala is one of the finest Bible Schools anywhere. A baby of the 100-year old Rehoboth Girl’s Orphanage Trust, RGOT invited Dr. Johnson C. Philip to become its founder-principal. His work was supervised by the Steering Committee made up of VM John, Miss PN Treasure, James Williams, MP Godly, and CJ Mathai, all well-known people among us.

Johnson Philip selected Dr. Saneesh Cherian as his second in command and moved to Thrissur with the endorsement of his family, his church, and BBI, of which he was then the Academic Dean (and the former Acting Principal). In three years the institution grew to such an amazing level that RGOT was then able to manage it by themselves. The Steering Committee was dismissed, and the Founder Principal and the Founder Dean handed over the management of the institution to the parent body.

Great institutions do not happen by themselves. They are planted by the sweat, toil, and tears of certain visionaries. RTI was founded due to the vision of its 5 Founding Members (the Steering Committee) and the 2 founding faculty members (the Principal and Dean). Today it is a a towering educational institution that is just about to celebrate its 10th year.
